Preferably done in the morning (best time to interact with these fascinating animals), in regional boats or speedboats. The beginning of the tour is from the port of the Tropical Manaus Hotel, from where it continues sailing the Negro River, (speedboat 1 hour and 30 minutes and regional boat, approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes) to Acajatuba Lake, in this place has a floating (house on water), which serves as a support so you can swim with the Amazon river dolphins for about 30 minutes. Community Based Tourism, promotes the integration of the riverside, rural and indigenous communities located on the left bank of the Negro River to the visitation routes of the city of Manaus. The communities that are part of the itinerary welcome visitors interested in knowing their way of life, their traditions and their practices that guarantee environmental conservation.

To access the communities, the transportation is by boat, with a duration of 30 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on the community to be visited, departing from the Davi Marina, in the Ponta Negra, Manaus. The communities that make up the TUCORIN Roadmap are located inside the Tupé Sustainable Development Reserve (communities of São João do Tupé, Julião and Central Colony), Rio Negro State Park, southern sector (Nova Esperança and Bela Vista do Jaraqui communities) and the Environmental Protection Area of the Left Bank (São Sebastião do Rio Cuieiras), all inserted in the mosaic of conservation units of the lower Rio Negro.
