The Negro River Bridge is currently one of the great engineering works of Amazon state, it is impressive for its gigantism of about 3,595 meters long by 20,70 meters wide, it is the largest River Bridge in Brazil and 2nd longest cable-stayed bridge in the world, losing only to the Bridge over the Orinoco River, in Venezuela. Its traffic is only interrupted on days of strong wind, due to safety issues. It began to be built in 2007 and was inaugurated on October 24th on 2011.
